Fourth meeting of the Working Group on Institutional Strengthening

At its 62nd meeting the Standing Committee, through Decision SC62-17, established the Working Group on Institutional Strengthening to lead the process to achieve organizational robustness to support the implementation of the Convention, including through the preparation of a draft resolution for the consideration of the Standing Committee at its 63rd meeting.
 
The members of the Working Group are: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Cambodia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Iran (Islamic Republic of), Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Panama, South Africa, Switzerland, Ukraine, United States of America, Zambia and Zimbabwe. South Africa and the United States of America are the Co-Chairs of the Working Group.
 
 
Please note that the fourth online meeting of the Working Group will take place on 4 March 2024 from 13:00 to 15:00 CET. The purpose of this meeting is to obtain an overview of the updates to the Governance Synthesis Report on Institutional Strengthening prepared by a consultant at the request of the Working Group. The Synthesis Report will be available here 5 days in advance of the meeting date (on 28 February 2024).
 
Contracting Parties which are not members of the Working Group may express their interest in participating in this meeting, to the Secretariat at iswg@ramsar.org by 29 February 2024.

Lors de sa 62e Réunion, dans le cadre de la décision SC62-17, le Comité permanent a établi le Groupe de travail sur le renforcement institutionnel, lequel est chargé de piloter le processus visant au renforcement institutionnel pour soutenir l’application de la Convention, notamment en préparant un projet de résolution pour examen à la 63e Réunion du Comité permanent.
 
Ce Groupe de travail est composé des membres suivants : Afrique du Sud, Australie, Autriche, Brésil, Cambodge, Colombie, Costa Rica, États-Unis d'Amérique, Iran (République islamique d'), Japon, Maroc, Mexique, Panama, Suisse, Ukraine, Zambie et Zimbabwe. Il a pour coprésidents l'Afrique du Sud et les États-Unis d'Amérique.

Veuillez noter que la quatrième réunion en ligne du groupe de travail aura lieu le 4 mars 2024 de 13h00 à 15h00 CET. L'objectif de cette réunion est d'obtenir une vue d'ensemble des mises à jour du rapport de synthèse sur la gouvernance et le renforcement institutionnel préparé par un consultant à la demande du groupe de travail. Le rapport de synthèse sera disponible ici 5 jours avant la date de la réunion (le 28 février 2024).
 
Les Parties contractantes qui ne sont pas membres du Groupe de travail peuvent faire part au Secrétariat, avant le 29 février 2024, de leur volonté de participer à cette réunion à l'adresse suivante : iswg@ramsar.org.

En su 62ª reunión, el Comité Permanente, mediante la Decisión SC62-17, estableció el Grupo de trabajo sobre el fortalecimiento institucional para dirigir el proceso encaminado a lograr una solidez organizativa que apoye la aplicación de la Convención, entre otras cosas mediante la preparación de un proyecto de resolución que será examinado por el Comité Permanente en su 63ª reunión.
 
Los miembros del grupo de trabajo son: Australia, Austria, Brasil, Camboya, Colombia, Costa Rica, Estados Unidos de América, Irán (República Islámica del), Japón, Marruecos, México, Panamá, Sudáfrica, Suiza, Ucrania, Zambia y Zimbabwe. Sudáfrica y los Estados Unidos de América son las copresidencias del grupo de trabajo.

Tenga en cuenta que la cuarta reunión en línea del Grupo de Trabajo tendrá lugar el 4 de marzo de 2024 de las 13:00 a las 15:00 CET. El objetivo de esta reunión es obtener una visión general de las actualizaciones del Informe de síntesis sobre gobernanza y fortalecimiento Institucional elaborado por un consultor a petición del grupo de trabajo.El informe de síntesis estará disponible aquí 5 días antes de la reunión (el 28 de febrero de 2024).
 
Las Partes Contratantes que no son miembros del grupo de trabajo pueden expresar a la Secretaría su interés en participar en la reunión de este escribiendo a la dirección iswg@ramsar.org a más tardar el 29 de febrero de 2024.
