Forest Carbon Partnership Facility FCPF NGO/INGO he Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) is a global partnership of governments, businesses, civil society, and Indigenous Peoples focused on reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation, forest carbon stock conservation, the sustainable management of forests, and the enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries, activities commonly referred to as REDD+.

The FCPF works with 47 developing countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean, along with 17 donors that have made contributions and commitments totaling $1.3 billion. The FCPF supports REDD+ efforts through its Readiness and Carbon Funds.

German Development Bank KFW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau) KfW Government Budget are mainly allocated to poor and poorly developed countries. The funds are not repaid. However, to be eligible to receive this funding, development policy criteria must be met including the partner country's ownership and commitment. We mainly deploy grants and very low-interest standard loans in poor and poorly developed countries: in 2017, 41% of the German Federal Government's budget funds were dedicated to Sub-Saharan Africa. More developed countries are also eligible for grants for projects that contribute directly to reducing poverty or to protecting global public goods such as, e. g., tropical rainforests.
