Please note that the consultation process and silence procedure of the draft resolution concluded successfully without objection.
Confirmation of the date for formal adoption of the draft resolution by the General Assembly will be informed once the next meeting of the plenary is confirmed by the UN Secretariat.
Contracting Parties are encouraged to invite delegations of your permanent Missions in New York to consider co-sponsoring the draft resolution through the e-deleGATE portal, as a strong sign of support to the proclamation of World Wetlands Day and its importance the Sustainable Development agenda.
