The Secretariat would like to thank Contracting Parties, International Organization Partners (IOPs), Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs), other organizations and individuals around the world that have been using and sharing the materials and resources developed to raise awareness about the 50^th Anniversary of the Convention.

The Secretariat is pleased to inform you of two new developments. First, a new 50^th Anniversary themed video that provides an overview of the Convention and its work is now available here. And second, during the months of August and September, the 50^th Anniversary website is featuring content provided by youth. Visit the 50^th Anniversary site to see stories and messages from youth on why wetlands are important to them and what they are doing to ensure wetlands are protected and used wisely. On October 7, 2021 the Secretariat will be hosting an intergenerational dialogue between leaders past and future to create connections across generations to elevate the urgency to protect, conserve and restore wetlands. More information on this live virtual event will be sent in due course.

Contracting Parties are encouraged to invite national youth organizations to participate in the 50^th anniversary campaign and can share this social toolkit with information on how to engage.
