First meeting of the Working Group on Updating Ramsar Information Sheets

At its 63rd meeting (SC63), the Standing Committee took note of document SC63 Doc.22, Report on the challenges and opportunities related to the submission and updating of Ramsar Information Sheets and, through Decision SC63-33, established the Working Group on Ramsar Information Sheet (RIS) Updating to further elaborate on the priority actions presented in document SC63 Doc.22, in consultation with the Secretariat and the Scientific and Technical Review Panel (STRP), to inform the preparation of a draft resolution on strengthening future processes on updating the RIS. The Working Group will provide a report to SC64.
 
The following Contracting Parties expressed interest in participating in the Working Group: Algeria, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, the Republic of Korea, Rwanda, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, Zimbabwe and the Chair of the STRP. Contracting Parties not yet part of the Working Group may express their interest in participating to the Secretariat at secretariat@ramsar.org by 15 July.
 
The first online meeting of the Working Group will take place on 18 July from 13:00 to 15:00 CEST. Working Group members will be provided with a meeting link in due course.

2.  Establishment of the terms of reference and deliverable for the Working Group
3.  Establishment of the process of drafting the report of the Working Group to be presented to SC64
4.  Date and time of the next meeting
