The Secretariat is pleased to announce that information materials to support outreach activities for World Wetlands Day on 2 February 2025 are now available to download online at www.worldwetlandsday.org.
Next year’s campaign centres on the theme "Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future." It emphasizes the urgency of bold action to protect these natural habitats for the welfare of all people – and so future generations can continue to benefit from all that wetlands provide. Additionally, World Wetlands Day 2025 is of particular significance, as it shares the same theme with the 15th Meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands (COP15), scheduled for 23-31 July 2025 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
A campaign toolkit has been developed to facilitate a coordinated global communications campaign in 2025 and it includes key messages and ideas for how to get involved.
Other resources available to download on the website include: - A campaign poster;
- Infographic sheets that deliver key facts to heighten awareness of the value of wetlands;
- A comprehensive PowerPoint presentation which educates and inspires with compelling information on wetlands;
- Social media cards providing simple, visually engaging messages that present the key messages of the campaign;
- Also available to download is a colouring poster for children, a t-shirt design, logos and InDesign files to facilitate translation into languages other than English, French and Spanish.
Visit the website to explore these resources in support of World Wetlands Day and its mission to underscore the vital connection between wetlands and the overall wellbeing of humanity. |
