Request for input to prepare the "Status of Wetlands of International Importance Report" for COP15

Pursuant to Article 8.2 of the Convention, the Secretariat is preparing a report on the Status of Wetlands of International Importance ("Ramsar Sites") for consideration by the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties.

In accordance with Paragraphs 14 and 15 of Resolution XIV.13, the Secretariat invites Contracting Parties to take the following actions to support this effort:

•    Ramsar Information Sheets (RIS) - ensure that any RIS currently outdated or under revision in the Ramsar Sites Information System (RSIS) are updated;
•    Article 3.2 files - submit information on actions taken or planned to address issues impacting Wetlands of International Importance listed in Annex 4a of SC62 Doc.22; and
•    Confirm or reject reports of human-induced negative changes to Wetlands of International Importance listed in Annex 4b of SC62 Doc.22.
 
The Secretariat kindly requests your action by 13 March 2025, to ensure that information can be considered in preparation of the report on the Status of Wetlands of International Importance ("Ramsar Sites") to be considered by COP15.
