Convention on Wetlands - UNOG Executive Briefing on COP15

The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands would like to inform you of a UNOG Executive Briefing on the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Convention on Wetlands (COP15), scheduled for Monday, 7 April 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in Room III at the Palais des Nations. A letter of invitation from the United Nations Office at Geneva is attached. 
 
Dr Musonda Mumba, Secretary General of the Convention on Wetlands, will brief attendees on preparations for COP15, which will take place from 23 to 31 July 2025 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
 
Dr Mumba will be joined by Mr. Nesbert Samasuwo, Chargé d’Affaires and Deputy Permanent Representative of Zimbabwe to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, who will provide an update on the High-Level Ministerial Segment organized by Zimbabwe and the Victoria Falls Declaration.
 
Additionally, the briefing will present an overview of preliminary findings and upcoming launch of the Global Wetland Outlook, which examines the economic impacts of wetland loss and degradation and provides investment insights for wetland management.
