Provisional working programme and registration details
 
 
The Secretariat of the Convention on Wetlands presents its compliments to the Permanent Missions and Administrative Authorities of the Contracting Parties to the Convention, and has the honour to provide information regarding the upcoming 67th meeting of the Standing Committee.
 
As communicated through Diplomatic Note 2025/8 of 30 September 2025 (https://contacts.ramsar.org/notification/view/3179), the meeting (SC67) is scheduled to take place from 4 to 8 May 2026 at the Secretariat headquarters in Gland, Switzerland. Plenary sessions of SC67 will take place from Tuesday 5 to Friday 8 May, preceded by meetings of the Committee’s sub-groups and working groups on Monday 4 May.
 
The provisional agenda and working programme are available on the Convention website at https://www.ramsar.org/meeting/67th-meeting-standing-committee. Links to meeting documents will be added to the agenda as they are published, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure.
 
The Secretariat requests that members of the Standing Committee and Contracting Parties wishing to attend as observers register online at: https://contacts.ramsar.org/register-sc67. Registration for SC67 will open on 5 January 2026.
 
Contracting Parties are encouraged to promote gender parity in their delegations, in accordance with the provisions of Resolution XIII.18 on Gender and wetlands, when planning their participation.
 
Financial support is available to cover the travel costs of one Standing Committee representative from Contracting Parties listed on the OECD DAC list of aid recipient countries or on the UN Conference on Trade and Development’s List of Small Island Developing States (SIDS), upon request. Financial assistance is not available for representatives of observer States.
 
Contracting Parties unable to attend the meeting are invited to communicate their position on issues to the Standing Committee representative(s) of their region.
