Side event details
As the host of COP14 and the 67th Contracting Party, China has been actively implementing the Ramsar Convention and strengthening wetland conservation, restoration and wise use. At present, China has established a comprehensive national wetland conservation and management system, consisting of Wetland Conservation Law, National Institutional Framework on Wetland Conservation and Restoration, National Wetland Inventory and Planning, Total Wetland Area Control Target, Hierarchic Wetlands Management, Wetland Inspection, Wetland Eco-compensation, International Wetland Cooperation, and other solutions and practices. The side event is seeking the opportunity to the host country of COP14 and the contracting parties to share the experiences and promote further understanding and potential collaboration among the Parties.
Contracting parties, UN agencies, IOPs and NGOs, as well as the Secretariat of the Ramsar Convention will be invited to attend the side event.
