WLI is the global network of wetland education centres, closely linked to the Ramsar CEPA programme, delivering engagement and education activities at wetland centres. Come and find out more about our global and regional approach, with representative from across the network talking about their work, as well representative from EAAFP, RRC-EA, AEWA, and the Americas who will update on how are developing a practical flyway CEPA approach.
We will also use this opportunity to launch the Chinese wetland centre initiative which will be announced by the Mangrove Foundation, and to present the Guidelines for Building China Wetland Education Centres will also be released, including the Chinese model of CEPA development.
The Star Wetland Awards is a new approach aimed at celebrating good practice in Wetland Education Centres globally, showcasing the best approaches to delivering CEPA activities at wetland sites. This event will reveal this year’s winners, inviting those countries in which the 32 winners are located to attend and receive the awards. And the winners are… to be announced on the day!
