Side Events Request Form for COP14
The 14th meeting of the Conference of the Contracting Parties to the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (COP14), to be held in
Geneva Switzerland and Wuhan, China from 5-13 November 2022
, will provide the opportunity to hold a number of side events on global and regional themes relevant to the Convention and the COP14 issues. The theme of COP14 is “Wetlands Actions for People and Nature”
.
If you wish to organize such a side event in Geneva Switzerland, please complete the “Side Event Request Form” below no later than
31 August 2022

Please be aware that requests received by the Secretariat after this deadline may not be considered, and that sending us a request before that deadline does not guarantee that your proposed side event can take place, since rooms and time slots available for side events are limited.
Following the deadline indicated above, the Secretariat will review all requests. Preference will be given to topics that are of direct relevance for Contracting Parties and COP14-related discussions and to requests for events to be jointly hosted by more than one State or organization. The Secretariat will inform applicants whether or not their request has been approved by 30 September 2022.
We look forward to receiving proposals for side events at COP14 and thank you in advance for your active participation, which will undoubtedly stimulate interesting discussions and thereby add value to the forthcoming meeting of the Conference of the Parties.
