This online form should be used for nomination of candidates for appointment to the Scientific and Technical Review Panel (STRP) for the 2025-2028 triennium.
Nominations should include a nomination letter, signed by head of Administrative Authority (AA) or, in the case of International Organization Partners (IOP) and Observer Organizations, by the convention focal point, as well as a nominee form duly completed for each nominee, and the curriculum vitae of each nominee.

Before submitting, make sure that all fields in the online form have been filled in and all attachments have been uploaded.
To submit multiple nominations, please complete the submission process for each candidate being nominated.
The closing date for nominations is 29 August 2025 (to be confirmed).
Additional information:
- Contracting Parties, IOPs and Observer Organizations may make nominations for the six scientific experts and six technical experts
- Candidates may be nominated for more than one role in the panel. Nominations for the STRP Chair and Vice-Chair can only be made by the Administrative Authorities of Contracting Parties.
- Administrative Authorities from each region should reach agreement amongst themselves and nominate one technical expert for each region, who will be accepted automatically.
- IOPs and observer organizations listed in Annex 3 of the Resolution on the future implementation of scientific and technical aspects of the Convention for 2025-2028 should use these forms to nominate their representative members.
- Nominations are not restricted to people from the same country of origin or domicile as the nominator.
- The roles and responsibilities of Panel members are described in Annex 1 of Resolution XII.5: New framework for delivery of scientific and technical advice and guidance on the Convention.
- Thematic work areas of the STRP for 2025-2028 are described in the Resolution on the future implementation of scientific and technical aspects of the Convention for 2025-2028 (pending adoption).
